What is NPTshake?
NPTshake is an interactive online magazine for young people living in Neath Port Talbot. If you’re 11-25 years old this is the place you can keep up to date with news, events and information on a wide range of topics.
NPTshake gives you the opportunity to get involved in your area and have your say on the things that matter to you by submitting your own articles, reviews, videos and photographs to the site and exchange views with others!
What makes NPTshake so great?
NPTshake is a website for young people by young people and you can get involved as much as you want. Whether you have a look at NPTshake now and again to keep an eye on the articles, submit content or become part of the editorial group, NPTshake will be here for you when you need it to give you:
- News and articles from young people in NPT including videos, podcasts and photos
- Reviews on the latest films, bands and shows
- List of up and coming events in Neath Port Talbot
- A search for services that are available to you locally and nationally
- Information on a wide range of topics including education, money, health and so much more (check out the info section)
- Social Networking so you can keep up date with what’s going on through Facebook, Twitter, CLICplay, Youtube, and more (check out the “On the Web”)
- A chance to get more involved through having regular features and joining the Shake Editorial Group. (See how to get involved)
Sounds good…How does it all work?
All you have to do is sign up, log on and get involved. You will have your own username, password and can upload your own picture. It’s quick and easy to use! If you need to find an event or activity, phone number/help line and more, just follow the links.
Once you’ve signed up…then it’s up to you! NPTshake is looking for content about anything and everything. This is your website and your chance to say what you think and if you need any help, then get in touch, we will be more than happy to help.
Why NPTshake?
NPTshake has joined many other counties around Wales and become part of CLIC, a National Information and Advice Service for Young People in Wales. CLIC helps local websites to provide the best possible local and national information to young people aged 11-25.
CLIC is linked to Promo-Cymru who have been funded to deliver local websites which includes NPTshake and works in conjunction with the Neath Port Talbot Family Information Service which is part of the Children and Young People’s Partnership (for more info see “What is the CYPP?” and “What is the FIS?”Link).
This means its part of nptfamily.com and you will find links and information about shake there too!
