  • Batman Dark Knight Rises

On the 5th of August I arrived at the Gwyn Hall, Neath, with high expectations, I sat down at my clean, comfy seat to watch the latest episode in the 'Batman' saga.

The film started off with a huge surprise seeing Bruce Wayne aka 'Batman' looking dishevelled from the last film, he wasn't looking his slick and polished self but the complete opposite. He was hosting a celebration for the 7th anniversary of a previous character, Harvey Dent.

They introduced the new and exciting dark character 'Bain', when a murder is being investigated. He uses a completely different approach to attacking Batman as he is more hands on, compared to 'The Joker', who used to use his hench men to do his dirty work.

As the film progresses the story unfolds via an exciting, fast paced plot. As like previous Batman films its similar in ways as the settings are based in Gotham City but there is an unexpected thrilling twist.

I'd recommend this film to the fans of previous Batman films and to any newcomers to the world of 'Batman', but would suggest they watch the other Batman films first to get to know Batmans background beforehand.

Pictures are the property of Warner Bros (The Dark Knight Rises).
